Woodborers are little insects with larva that consume a lot of wood. Before taking flight, the adults leave tiny pinhead-sized holes on the wooden surface. The powder or frass then starts to leak out of these microscopic openings. This is the initial indication that the furniture is infested. The Therapy Using a syringe, wood preservative chemicals are injected into the microscopic holes made by the woodborers. By doing this, the larvae in the wood are killed. Also sprayed on the surface are compounds with a petroleum basis.
