Bed bugs are a cosmopolitan pest attacking all where hygiene does not play a role. As hitchhikers, bed bugs are highly widespread in places like public transportation, hospitals, theatres, hotels, and hostels. They travel from location to location with people's belongings and apparel. Bed bugs spend the day hiding in little crevices and feeding at night on blood. They are known as "bed bugs" because they are typically seen in beds.
Beds, mattresses, pillows, linen storage compartments, sofas, chairs, walls, etc. are all potential bed bug hiding spots. A comprehensive insecticidal spray is used during bed bug pest control to all furniture, bed joints, and other fixtures. Mattress beading and folds receive extra attention and only receive a light spray. In order to control additional hatchlings, a second bed bug management treatment must be applied within a fortnight because bedbug eggs are impervious to insecticide penetration.
